Sports Park gets Unison backing
In late August a significant naming-rights sponsor was announced for the proposed velodrome at the Regional Sports Park. Unison Energy has donated a million dollars to be used in building this facility. This is an exciting development for the Sports Park concept and important in silencing the critics. Now the hurdles of legal challenges to the Sports Park have been dealt with, development can now progress. I believe this facility is extremely important for the youth of Hawkes Bay and for the future.

The Regional Sports Parks makes little or no provision for sport and recreation exercise and welfare for the older generations
Margie is currently the President of the Te Mata Croquet Club at 341 Napier Road, a Club which has been a great success story of the past 17 years since it was founded in 1992. We now have a membership which is approaching 120. Our eldest member is over 90!!
We have a lease of the land and clubhouse which we have developed from an ancient and decaying uneconomic apple orchard into 7 beautiful lawns on which many play on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. We hosted the World Golf Croquet Tournament in 2006 with 19 countries represented. We host players from Charitable Enliven
We are now trying to buy the land and adjacent house for $500,000.00. We have a contract. We are about to apply for Resource Consent. WE NEED FINANCIAL HELP AND MORAL SUPPORT. Can you help us?
